Addressing implications related to the teaching of history refers first of all to the characteristics of the educational system. In the same way, it refers to considering the meaning of historical knowledge in a cultural context. In the Dominican Republic of the present, a marked deficit of quality is observed in the entire educational system, which presents a problem that conditions any implications in the search for sectoral solutions, such as the teaching of History.Abordar implicaciones relacionadas a la enseñanza de la historia remite en primer término a las características del sistema educativo. De igual manera, remite a considerar el sentido del conocimiento histórico en un contexto cultural. En la República Dominicana del presente se observa un acusado déficit de calidad en el conjunto del sistema educativo, lo que presenta un problema que condiciona cualesquiera implicaciones en la búsqueda de soluciones sectoriales, como es la enseñanza de la Historia.
