Resumen
We analyse the Wigner function in prime power dimensions constructed on the basis of the discrete rotation and displacement operators labelled with elements of the underlying finite field. We separately discuss the case of odd and even characteristics and analyse the algebraic origin of the non-uniqueness of the representation of the Wigner function. Explicit expressions for the Wigner kernel are given in both cases. Although guided exercises are essential for motor rehabilitation, the plastic events that occur in the simple cerebellar lobule during motor training remain unknown. In this study, normal adult rats were intensely trained on a motorized treadmill during a period of four weeks (IT group) varying both the velocity and the slope of the moving belt, and they were compared to a mildly trained (MC) group and an intact control group (IC). Dendritic spine density and proportions of the different spine types on Purkinje cells was assessed in the cerebellar simple lobule, as was drebrin A expression. Both dendritic spine density and drebrin expression increased in the MC and IT groups. Stubby spines were more abundant in the MC animals, while there was an increase in both stubby and wide spines in IT rats. In addition, mushroom spines were more numerous in the IT group. Increases in stubby and wide spines could be related to regulation of the excitability in Purkinje cells due to the motor training regime experienced by the MC and IT rats. Moreover, the observed increase in mushroom spines in the IT group could be related with the motor adjustments imposed by training. © 2011 Elsevier Ireland Ltd.",,,,,,"10.1016/j.neulet.2011.01.043",,,,"http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-79951771674&partnerID=40&md5=1615c880fd79ebe1737b257b47610a5b http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12104/41818",,,,,,"3",,"Neuroscience Letters",,"216 220",,"491",,"Scopus WOS",,,,,,"Cerebellum; Dendritic spines; Drebrin; Exercise; Motor activity; Plasticity; Purkinje",,,,"Guided motor training induces dendritic spine plastic changes in adult rat cerebellar purkinje cells",,,,"Article",

Our results demonstrate that both CDK inhibitors prevented apoptosis induced by LY294002 (LY), as also occurs with SB415286 (SB4), a selective GSK3? inhibitor. Our findings also indicate that these CDK inhibitors inhibit GSK3?, representing a potential pharmacological mechanism involved in their neuroprotective properties. Thus, the increased activity of GSK3? induced by LY294002 and detected by dephosphorylation at Ser9 was prevented by both compounds. Likewise, GSK3? activity was measured by a radioactivity assay, revealing that CDK inhibitors and SB415286 prevented the increase in GSK3? activity induced by PI3K inhibition. In addition, we analysed c-Jun, which is also a mediator of PI3K inhibition-induced apoptosis. However, neither of the CDK inhibitors nor SB415286 prevented the increase in c-Jun phosphorylation induced by PI3K inhibition. Therefore, our data identify GSK3? as a crucial mediator of CGN apoptosis induced by PI3K inhibition and indicate that the antiapoptotic effects of CDKs are mediated by the inhibition of this pharmacological target. © 2011 Elsevier Ltd. This paper presents a longitudinal analysis of its development. Fieldwork was done through interviews conducted in 2005 and 2007-8. Results show some ways in which the role of the main actors, linkages and processes responsible for the cluster formation and evolution change over time. We provide a brief history of the fuel cell cluster and a description of its current characteristics and dynamics. We make particular reference to factors that they respond to, such as policies, market expectations, industry structure, and government economic support, for example, in order to explain the current cluster configuration as an open international innovation network, rather than as a local or regional one, a fact that challenges previous knowledge in this field.",,,,,,"10.1109/ACSIP.2009.5367826",,,"http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12104/41775","http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-76549109154&partnerID=40&md5=0ce69597a554418781d8fdedc9d65604",,,,,,,,"2009 Atlanta Conference on Science and Innovation Policy, ACSIP 2009",,,,,,"Scopus",,,,,,"Cluster dynamics; Fuel cell; Innovation cluster",,,,,,"Globalization of innovation and dynamics of a regional innovation network: The case of the Canadian fuel cell cluster",,"Conference Paper"

In this polymerization technique, neat monomer is fed at a controlled rate over a monomer-free aqueous solution of surfactant and initiator, to produce nanometer size particles with controlled molar masses, and high polymer/surfactant ratios similar to those used in conventional emulsion polymerization. For the two monomers studied at three different addition rates, model predictions accurately reproduce conversion-versus-time curves, the evolution of particle size, and the number density of particles. The model reveals that the controlling nucleation mechanism shifts from micellar to homogeneous nucleation as the monomer solubility in water increases. © 2015 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
