Resumen
Experimental work on the synthesis of the CoSb2O6 oxide and its CO2 sensing properties is presented here. The oxide was synthesized by a microwave-assisted colloidal method in presence of ethylenediamine after calcination at 600 °C. This CoSb2O6 oxide crystallized in a tetragonal structure with cell parameters ?= 4.6495 and c= 9.2763 Å, and space group P42/mnm. To prove its physical, chemical and sensing properties, the oxide was subjected to a series of tests: Raman spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and impedance (Z) measurements. Microstructures, like columns, bars and hollow hemispheres, were observed. For the CO2 sensing test, a thick film of CoSb2O6 was used, measuring the impedance variations on the presence of air/CO2 flows (0.100 sccm/0.100 sccm) using AC (alternating current) signals in the frequency-range 0.1-100 kHz and low relative temperatures (250 and 300 °C). The CO2 sensing results were quite good. This model is described by a set of ordinary differential equations that predict the dynamic behavior of the main species involved in this system. In contrast with other models, the one proposed is capable of quantifying the concentration of propionic acid in the medium. This model includes the electrochemical equilibrium in the liquid phase as well as the thermodynamic constraints induced by the hydrogen partial pressure. The model is tested using numerical simulation, and it shows how the propionic acid accumulates as a result of the inhibition in the methanogenic phase caused by an increase of the hydrogen partial pressure.",,,,,,,,,"http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12104/40811","http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-2442422302&partnerID=40&md5=66b38db52e4eb03ee795ad90e67895cc",,,,,,"2",,"Informacion Tecnologica",,"63 68",,"15",,"Scopus",,,,,,"Anaerobic digestion; Dynamic modeling; Hydrogen inhibition; Wastewater treatment",,,,,,"Dynamic modeling of wastewater treatment by anaerobic digestion considering propionic acid accumulation [Modelado Dinámico de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales por Digestion Anaerobia Considerando Acumulación de ácido Propiónico]",,"Article"

Canedo, J.M. Loukianov, A.",,"2002",,"In Direct Methods, the use of the Controlling Unstable Equilibrium Point (CUEP) Method has been taken with great acceptance. The reason of this acceptance is that the CUEP method takes into consideration the fault-on trajectory. This means that for each fault-on trajectory there is a specific CUEP. In the other hand, since the Closest Unstable Equilibrium Point (Closest UEP) is unique, the Closest UEP method does not take into consideration the fault-on trajectory. It means that using CUEP Method results in a less conservative transient stability assessment than using the Closest UEP Method. Because the CUEP Method takes into consideration the fault-on trajectory, it is necessary to find it every time we need to make a stability assessment. In order to make a good stability assessment, finding the true CUEP has a great importance. This paper shows that under some circumstances the BCU method may not be able to find the true CUEP for a specific trajectory. Moreover, a methodology than can improve the capability of BCU Method to successfully find the CUEP is shown. And finally, several applications to electrical power systems are shown.",,,,,,,,,"http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12104/40818","http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-0036082333&partnerID=40&md5=30f305ed4de00898a6956f6cfd4c0366",,,,,,,,"Proceedings of the IEEE Power Engineering Society Transmission and Distribution Conference",,"189 194",,"1",,"Scopus",,,,,,,,,,,,"Dynamical method for CUEP detection in power system transient stability assessment",,"Conference Paper"

Hourly records of wind measurements were used to construct a hydrodynamical model of the level fluctuations of the lake's water as well as integrated drift currents. The calculations show that the valley breeze circulation stimulates barotropic seiches in the lake with a period of 2.6 minutes and maximal level in the southwest part up to 18 mm. The drift current form two circulating rings having an opposite directions: anticyclonical in northern part of the lake and cyclonical in the southern. At the external edge of these rings the current speed can reach 20 cm/s. The measurements have shown that most part of the year the lake is strongly stratified.
