Resumen
This paper addresses state estimation of partially observable discrete event systems exhibiting variations on the duration of activities; the system state is approximated by the marking of Fuzzy timed Petri Net (FtPN) models. For this purpose a definition of FtPN is presented in which fuzzy sets are associated to non-observable places for representing the ending time uncertainty of activities. The marking uncertainty for two subclasses of FtPN is analyzed: marked graphs and state machines. Afterwards the marking uncertainty bound of such models including observable places is studied for obtaining an evaluation on the quality of the state estimation. Strong hydrogen bonding has been found, and both polybases have shown similar acceptor strengths. Derivative techniques show asymmetric profiles for the free carbonyl band of the polybases, resulting in shifted band locations. The extent of the interassociation has been estimated by spectral curve fitting of the polybase carbonyl band. The results show that the interaction degree in blends with PEOX does not depend on the length of the poly(monoalkyl itaconate) side group, while an inter-associating ability loss is observed in blends with PDMA as the side-group size of the polyacid increases. This different behavior is attributed to the greater interspacing between vicinal carbonyl groups in PEOX. This band shows conformational sensitivity and reflects the conformational changes that occur as the steric hindrances present in the medium (due to the bulky side groups of the polyacids) increase.",,,,,,"10.1366/000370203322102924",,,,"http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-0041767988&partnerID=40&md5=c800fd6a9a9044f12e2d55ce55b365e4 http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12104/44678",,,,,,"7",,"Applied Spectroscopy",,"829 834",,"57",,"Scopus WOS",,,,,,"Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy; FT-IR; Hydrogen bonding; Poly(ethyloxazoline); Poly(mono-n-alkyl itaconates); Poly(N,N-dimethylacrylamide); Polyacid s; Polybases; Specific interactions",,,,"Specific interactions study in complexes of poly(mono-nalkyl itaconates) with tertiary polyamides",,,,"Article",

The three different types of HA powders used were synthesized in the laboratory and coated with a silane agent prior to incorporation into the cement powder, and differed in particle size, water content, surface area, and crystallinity. It was found that the inclusion of any type of HA powder led to an increase in the tensile modulus (ET), but all the other mechanical properties of the cement decreased (relative to the values of the unfilled cement). The increase in ET is attributed to the good adhesion between the filler and the cement matrix, which is due to the silane coating agent. The decrease in the other mechanical properties may be a consequence of HA powder agglomeration and porosity. Hydroxyapatite morphology and crack-growth mechanisms were analyzed by scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.",,,,,,"10.1002/jbm.b.30166",,,,"http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-19944431615&partnerID=40&md5=c945a8702f7689b0e314af74cf8ee806 http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12104/44733",,,,,,"2",,"Journal of Biomedical Materials Research - Part B Applied Biomaterials",,"345 352",,"72",,"Scopus WOS",,,,,,"Acrylic bone cement; Compressive properties; Fracture toughness; Hydroxyapatite; Tensile properties",,,,"Static mechanical properties of hydroxyapatite (HA) powder-filled acrylic bone cements: Effect of type of HA powder",,,,"Article",

In the proposed setup the joint transform of the images to be correlated is filtered by an infinite Ronchi ruling, which is generated by a spatial light modulator, SLM, at the Fourier plane. A lens produces the spatial integral of the product of the joint transform of the composite input and the amplitude transmittance of the spatial light modulator, and a photodetector acquire the total light energy transmitted by the SLM. The proposed technique significantly reduces the processing time needed for real-time applications. " 2009 SPIE.
