Resumen
To evaluate the hemodynamic changes in patients under sedation with dexmedetomidine and propofol during curettage. Method: prospective, experimental, blinded and randomized, which evaluated the hemodynamic changes in 73 female patients, aged between 18 and 45 years, ASA status I and II who underwent sedation for curettage with combination of dexmedetomidine - Fentanyl (DEX group) and Propofol - Fentanyl (Propofol group). Results: Both groups showed hemodynamic stability study, the DEX group showed oxygen saturation between 99-100% while the Propofol group values ranged from 93-100%. The degree of sedation was effective in both groups, the recovery time was faster in the DEX group with lower incidence of postoperative pain and nausea and vomiting. Conclusions: Both drug combinations are effective and safe for sedation in curettage.
