| dc.description | Identificar alteración de hormonas tiroideas, antiTPO y ecoestructura tiroidea en pacientes posmenopáusicas. Método: Se determinó concentraciones séricas de TSH, T4L y antiTPO y se realizó ecografía tiroidea. RESULTADOS: De las 50 pacientes estudiadas, se encontró hipotiroidismo e hipertiroidismo subclínico
en 10% y 2% respectivamente, así como también se demostró presencia de antiTPO positivo en 26% de la muestra. Se logró evidenciar ecoestructura tiroidea heterogénea en el 92% de la muestra, no relacionado a sobrepeso, obesidad, circunferencia abdominal aumentada o consumo de tabaco. CONCLUSIONES: Se
demostró que la mayoría de las pacientes posmenopáusicas presentan ecoestructura
heterogénea así como también disfunción tiroidea subclínica. Esto sugiere la relación
que existe entre menopausia y enfermedad tiroidea. | |
| dc.description | To identify alterations of thyroid hormones and thyroid ultrasound structure in postmenopausal patients. Methods: it was determinate TSH, fT4 and antiTPO serum levels; and it was realized a thyroid ultrasound. Results: it was demonstrated
that out of the 50 studied patients, 10% had subclinical hypothyroidism and 2% subclinical hyperthyroidism, it was demonstrated as well that 26% of the sample had a positive antiTPO. It was shown in the ultrasounds that 92% of the sample had an heterogeneous thyroid structure, that was not related to overweight, obesity, abdominal circumference increased or tobacco consumption. Conclusions: it was proven that most of the posmenopausal patients had a heterogeneous thyroid structure, and also a sublclinical thyroideal dysfunction. These results suggest a relation between menopause and thyroid disease. | |
