The following is an exploratory and descriptive research on the Co-governance for the Communication of death en Caracas, be it, on the communication management of death as an urban phenomenon. Likewise, it seeks to establish an interface through the communicational processes and flows that are present in the different components of the city. In order to achieve this purpose, the Methodic Inquiry for the Communication of the City, developed by Professor Atilio Romero of the Central University of Venezuela, will be used as a theoretical approach. First, we present the contemporary concept of death and the rituals related to it in Caracas, from the very moment it is anticipated to the mourning that comes after its occurrence. We review the scenarios in which death takes place, their evolution and adaptation to the uses of the contemporary city. We describe the religious beliefs involved; analyze the causes of death in Caracas and the communication processes prevailing in the city. The dissertation establishes the interfaces/ses between the Human World –the citizens as human beings with values, beliefs and fears- the Artificial System –the citizens as users and consumers of the city they have created- and the Natural Universe –as inhabitants of the city they imagine. To this end, this reflection builds up matrices of the Media City, the City for Citizens and the Project City, to subsequently establish the co-governance of the communication of Death in Caracas.
