Dimensiones de la personalidad y dependencia emocional en estudiantes de una universidad de Lambayeque

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo principal establecer la relación entre
dimensiones de la personalidad y dependencia emocional; además de elaborar un
programa de intervención para estudiantes universitarios en materia de las variables
estudiadas. Este estudio es de carácter cuantitativo y diseño no experimental descriptivo
correlacional aplicada a una muestra de 110 estudiantes de ambos sexos, cuyas edades
oscilaban entre 18 a 25 años. Se les administró el Inventario de Personalidad de Eysenck
– Forma B y el Inventario de Dependencia Emocional de Aiquipa en 2009. Donde los
resultados indican que existe relación negativa significativa (p<0.05) entre dependencia
emocional y la dimensión extraversión-introversión. Y relación positiva para la
dimensión estabilidad-inestabilidad con un nivel de significancia estadística alta
(p<0.01). Lo que implica que a mayor dimensión extraversión, menor será la conducta
dependiente afectiva; y por otro lado, a mayor inestabilidad, mayor será la dependencia
emocional en los estudiantes. Se concluye en este estudio que, a mayores dimensiones de
personalidades inestables, mayor será la tendencia a la dependencia emocional.
