Análisis del impacto del fenómeno de “El Niño” en las exportaciones de café peruano, periodo 1980-2018

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo concretar si las variables precio total FOB (PFOB) y la producción nacional en superficie cosechada de café peruano (SC) son factores determinantes de la cantidad de exportaciones del café peruano (XC) con datos anuales de 1980 a 2018. Así mismo, si los eventos del fenómeno del Niño afectaron en la evolución de las exportaciones de este agro producto tradicional. Para tal fin, se recurrió a fuente de data secundaria y herramientas de investigación cuantitativa basado en metodología estadística y econométrica, específicamente, en el modelo Mínimos Cuadrados Ordinarios. Después de analizar las variables mediante un modelo MCO y corrigiendo todos los errores presentados con un R^2 ajustado de 95.55%, se demostró que las variables PFOB (expresada en US$ por tonelada) y la SC (medida en tonelada por hectárea cosechada) son factores que afectan directamente en las XC (en miles de US$ valor FOB) y el fenómeno del niño no tuvo un efecto notorio en el volumen de exportaciones.
