Social organizations are key actors to promote the development of a community, the population through these demands the presence of the state to help them solve their problems of education, health and environmental sanitation services, among others. The socio-cultural management of organizations is an element of utmost importance for local and regional development, being more evident in the rural communities, given the scarce presence of government agencies, they are responsible for managing their natural resources, opening new spaces for participation, in some cases seek to impart justice, ensuring the safety of the inhabitants and their natural resources (land, water, forests, animals, etc.). This research focuses on studying the aspects that affect the socio-cultural management capacity of social organizations in the Chaparrí private conservation area; The study focuses on three social organizations: Muchik Santa Catalina de Chongoyape peasant community, Association for nature conservation and sustainable tourism Chaparrí (Acoturch), Peasant rounds of the Mirador farmhouse, have been formed around the Chaparrí nature reserve, are managers in their creation, promotion of tourism, protection and conservation of natural re-sources; It also presents results and analysis of the various aspects, sociocultural and historical characteristics, political actions and internal documentation of organizations; actions are evi-denced that have been limited by internal conflicts between the communal board and the Acoturch partners for the control of the reserve. It was determined that socio-political and technical aspects have a high incidence of limitations in the socio-cultural management of social organizations that have unfavorably interfered in their operation leading to a weak organization, impacting political interference and particular interests and poor knowledge of management tools, sociocultural man-agement capacity and results in community development, refers to how local actors assume a certain role in organizations and are generating mechanisms and strategic alliances that contribute to the conservation, protection and defense of the reserve; cultural heritage encompasses multiple cultural manifestations; There is a high rate of poor management of cultural activities.
