Efecto del extracto hidroalcóholico de lepidium meyenii, “maca roja”, sobre la lipoperoxidación inducida con acrilamida en membrana eritrocitaria de rattus norvegicus var albinus.

El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó para determinar el efecto del extracto hidroalcóholico de Lepidium meyenii, “maca roja”, en la lipoperoxidación inducida con acrilamida en membrana eritrocitaria de Rattus norvegicus var. albinus. Se realizó una distribución aleatoria en los siguientes grupos: Blanco, Control I y II, Problema IA y IB y Problema IIA y IIB con 6 especímenes para cada grupo, respectivamente. Se les administró por un mes, extracto hidroalcohólico de la raíz de Lepidium meyenii a dosis de 1g/Kg/día para el Problema IA y IB y 2g/kg/día para el Problema IIA y IIB; mientras que el grupo Blanco solo recibió agua y comida ad libitum, así como el grupo Control I y II recibió placebo (NaCl 0.9%). Se indujo la lipoperoxidación, con 4mg/kg/día de acrilamida a todos los grupos a excepción del grupo Blanco. El día 14 después de la inducción con acrilamida se tomó la muestra de sangre por punción cardiaca a los especímenes de los grupos Control I, Problema IA y Problema IIA. Al completar el día 28 después de la inducción se tomó la muestra de sangre a los especímenes de los grupos restantes. Se determinó la lipoperoxidación según niveles de Malondialdehido (MDA) expresados en nmol/mL usando el método colorimétrico de sustancias reactivas al ácido tiobarbitúrico (TBARS) a 532 nm de longitud de onda. Se concluye que la dosis de 2g/kg/día del extracto hidroalcóholico de Lepidium meyenii, “Maca Roja” presenta mayor efecto antioxidante (p<0.05)
