El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo establecer la relación entre el
compromiso cognitivo y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes del I ciclo de la
especialidad de Filosofía, Psicología y Ciencias Sociales de la UNT – 2019.
La población estuvo compuesta por 150 estudiantes y la muestra por 46 estudiantes a
quienes se les aplicó un cuestionario para medir el nivel de compromiso cognitivo y
rendimiento académico y determinar mediante la contrastación de hipótesis su correlación.
Se obtuvo en compromiso cognitivo que el 63.0% de los estudiantes indican que es
excelente y el 60.9% de ellos indican que el rendimiento académico es excelente. También
se ha encontrado que existe una relación positiva significativa entre el compromiso
cognitivo con el rendimiento académico (p <0.05).
Se concluyó que existe una relación positiva significativa entre el compromiso cognitivo y
el rendimiento académico (Rho de Spearman de 0.914 y p< 0.05) en los estudiantes del I
ciclo de la especialidad de Filosofía, Psicología y Ciencias Sociales de la UNT – 2019. The objective of this research work was to establish the relationship between cognitive
engagement and academic performance in students of the I cycle of the specialty of
Philosophy, Psychology and Social Sciences of the UNT - 2019.
The population consisted of 150 students and the sample of 46 students to whom a
questionnaire was applied to measure the level of cognitive commitment and academic
performance and determine its correlation through hypothesis testing.
It was obtained in cognitive commitment that 63.0% of the students indicate that it is
excellent and 60.9% of them indicate that the academic performance is excellent. It has
also been found that there is a significant positive relationship between cognitive
engagement with academic performance (p <0.05).
It was concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between cognitive
engagement and academic performance (Spearman Rho of 0.934 and p <0.05) in students
of the 1st cycle of the specialty of Philosophy, Psychology and Social Sciences of the
UNT - 2019.
