Distancia interacromial para establecer el tamaño de la férula de abducción en niños con pie equinovaro

Objetivo: Conocer la distancia interacromial para estandarizar el tamaño de la barra de la férula de Ponseti. Material y Métodos: Estudio observacional, descriptivo, transversal, prospectivo. Se midió la distancia interacromial en centímetros, a niños de 3 semanas a 4 años. Para fines de conocer el tamaño de la barra de la férula de Ponseti, se distribuyó a los niños en 4 grupos. Resultados y conclusiones: La distancia interacromial describe un crecimiento sigmoideo. La distancia interacromial en los 4 grupos según la edad fue: de 3 semanas a 5 meses: 16.3 cm. (DS 1,45); de 6 a 18 meses: 19 cm. (DS1,50); de 20 a 39 meses: 21.7 cm. (DS 1.54) y de 42 a 48 meses: 24.9 (DS 1.20). No existe diferencia estadísticamente significativa respecto al sexo, excepto en el último grupo (p<0.05) en el que la distancia interacromial fue 24.91 cm y 24.18 para varones y mujeres, respectivamente.
