The objective of this research was to evaluate the purchasing management and its influence
on the fulfillment of the mining plan in the Summa Gold Corporation mining company. The
research design under which this work was developed is non-experimental, relational and
descriptive. The research focused on three stages, the search for bibliographic information,
direct observation and unstructured interview. The results showed that the Summa Gold
company has a purchasing system whose process is structured in four areas, the user area, the
logistics area - purchases, the warehouse logistics area in Lima and the warehouse in the mine
itself. In the Lima warehouse, the main problem related to the technical specifications that are
not met by the suppliers was identified, which originates a cycle that in the long run translates
into loss of time. Likewise, among the critical inputs for the fulfillment of the mining plan,
the cost of fuel stands out. In this sense, during the year 2021, the mining plan of 81.1% for
ore and 78.9% for clearing has been fulfilled. Given this, the study proposes a linear
purchasing model that considers determining factors such as the supplier portfolio. The
proposed purchasing model allows for an increase to address a general level of compliance
with the mining plan of 89.67%.
