dc.description.abstractUnionism in Peru through a crisis of representativeness, inability to raise proposals to the alternatives of economic neoliberalism. A number of factors have contributed to unionism be strongly weakened; such as structural changes in the composition of the workforce, growth of micro and small enterprises as well as an explosive growth of the informal sector to the detriment of employees of large and medium enterprises. Another factor has been called flexible employment; is scaling of the figure of the worker hired or given any notice. The present research is to analyze the characteristics that have marked the phenomenon of flexible employment and the crisis of representation of Peruvian unionism; for which the following problem What are the effects of fixed-term employment contracts with trade union organizations in Peru? Its main objective is to identify such effects. As a specialized study material on the research topics used literature; also, 200 surveys were applied to the same number of workers working in the private sector, in the city of Trujillo; resulting in the hiring of a particular term has affected unions weakens its convening power and representation, due to the decrease in the number of its members by increasing this type of contract workers excluded from collective bargaining and syndication. Which leads us to conclude that the crisis that is engulfing the unions, is a result of their inability to renew itself and assume the new aspirations of those who join the labor market in precarious conditions employed under working arrangements.
