Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2, ASA ≥ 2 y ancianidad como factores de riesgo para infección de prótesis parcial de cadera en pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo

OBJETIVO: Determinar si la diabetes mellitus tipo 2, el ASA ≥2 y la ancianidad son
factores de riesgo para la infección por artroplastia parcial de cadera.
MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: Estudio de tipo analítico, observacional, retrospectivo, de
casos y controles. La población se dividió en 40 casos y 120 controles que fueron
sometidos a artroplastia parcial de cadera atendidos en la Unidad de Ortopedia y
Traumatología del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo en el periodo Enero 2000 -
Octubre 2017.
RESULTADOS: El odss ratio (OR) de Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 en relación a infección
de prótesis parcial de cadera fue de 8.33 (p<0.05). El (OR) de ancianidad en relación a
infección de prótesis parcial de cadera fue de 0.53 (p>0.05). El (OR) del ASA ≥ 2 en
relación a infección de prótesis parcial de cadera fue de 0.43 (p>0.05).
CONCLUSIÓN: La Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 es un factor de riesgo asociada al
desarrollo de infección de prótesis parcial de cadera. El ASA ≥ 2 y la ancianidad no son
factores de riesgo asociadas al desarrollo de infección de prótesis parcial de cadera.
