sector Plazapampa, Distrito de Salpo, Provincia de Otuzco, Departamento de La Libertad;
The present investigation was carried out on the slope of highway PE-10 A Km 54+350 in the Plazapampa sector, District of Salpo, Province of Otuzco, Department of La Libertad; with the aim of providing solutions for the stabilization of slopes at high risk on the PE-10A Plazapampa sector highway, through stability analysis in Slide 6.0 and Plaxis 2D software. The first methodological phase was the field work, which consisted of conducting in situ tests (DPL test), topographic survey and taking soil samples from the slope, for their respective characterization in the soil mechanics laboratory. In the cabinet phase, geological information was collected, as well as the seismic considerations and the hydrological modeling for the slope area, finally, the stability analysis was carried out in the aforementioned software. The analysis included modeling without considering precipitation for static and pseudo-static conditions; and also modeling with the presence of rain under static conditions. The Slide 6.0 software calculated the value of the safety factor by means of the limit equilibrium method using the Spencer, simplified Janbu and simplified Bishop methods, and the Plaxis 2D software determined the value of the safety factor based on the finite element method. It was determined that the values of the average Safety Factor of the slope in static and pseudo-static conditions without the presence of rain are 1.55 and 1.14, respectively, and the value of the average safety factor in static conditions considering precipitation is 1.46. These values determined that the study slope is unstable, being necessary to establish stability designs through the application of geometric reconformation, sub-drain systems and the placement of retaining walls. For these designs, the safety values in the most extreme conditions of rain and earthquake were 1.46, 0.93, 1.68 for subdrain, geometric reconformation and retaining wall, respectively; The implementation of the sub drain system turned out to be optimal due to its low cost and easy implementation.
