IMC pregestacional elevado, nuliparidad y edad materna mayor a 35 años en relación con el inicio de la preeclampsia severa en gestantes

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el IMC pregestacional elevado, nuliparidad, y edad materna mayor a 35 años con el inicio de la preeclampsia severa en gestantes Material y método: Estudio descriptivo, correlacional de corte transversal. Población conformada por gestantes con diagnóstico de preeclampsia severa registradas en el Sistema Informático Perinatal del Hospital Belén de Trujillo durante enero del 2016 a diciembre del 2017 que cumplan con los criterios de inclusión y ninguno de exclusión. Para determinar la relación entre el IMC pregestacional elevado, nuliparidad y edad materna mayor a 35 años con el inicio de la preeclampsia severa en gestantes se empleó la prueba no paramétrica de independencia de criterios utilizando la distribución chi cuadrado, con un nivel de significancia del 5%. Resultados: Se evidenció una relación estadísticamente significativa (valor-p<0.05) entre el IMC pregestacional elevado y el inicio de la preeclampsia severa en gestantes. La nuliparidad y la edad materna mayor a 35 años no presentaron una relación estadísticamente significativa con p=0,9303 y p=0,5045 respectivamente Conclusiones: El inicio de la preeclampsia severa está relacionado significativamente con el IMC pregestacional elevado, mas no con la nuliparidad y la edad materna mayor a 35 años.
