Resumen
En la presente investigación se tuvo como objetivo comprobar la eficiencia del carbón activado de la cascarilla de arroz como medio adsorbente para la remoción de metales pesados de efluentes industriales, como el plomo, cadmio, arsénico, cobre, hierro, zinc, y cromo, ya que estos tienen impactos negativos en la población. La investigación tuvo un enfoque no experimental transversal, donde se realizó una revisión documental, llegando a seleccionar 5 investigaciones para el objeto de estudio, que comprenden 4 tesis y un artículo de investigación referente a las propiedades físicas y químicas de la cascarilla de arroz; elaborando fichas de registro de datos, donde se reunió información necesaria de dichas investigaciones, en donde estas fueron analizadas mediante tablas y gráficos; en los resultados demuestran que existen porcentajes de variación de remoción en los diferentes metales pesados, tal es el caso de Junín que emplearon este método con diferentes dosis de carbón activado de la cascarilla de arroz, donde la mayor capacidad de remoción fue en el plomo en un 96.04% y para cadmio 95.89%, así mismo en otros estudios para diferentes metales, concluyendo que este método es eficiente y sostenible para afrontar diversos problemas ambientales de metales pesados presentes en el agua
