Abstract

The purpose of this practical project is to find alternative proposals for a plan for the integral management of solid domestic waste in a rural parish of Cantón Arenillas. For this, the La Cuca Rural Parish was taken as the study site, specifically at the parish head. Diagnosing in the first instance to the Management on the solid waste that the pertinent entities carry out, like its System of Collection, its Final Disposition; based on specific definitions. Knowing that solid waste is generated daily approximately 0.57 kg per person, and for this, the waste produced must be given the most appropriate destination from the environmental point of view and laws that are governed in the Republic of Ecuador, Management Plans . Verifying if these standards are met in the Waste Management in the parish. The general objective was to diagnose and propose a Comprehensive Urban Solid Waste Management Plan in La Cuca Parish of Cantón Arenillas. For which a survey was conducted on a sample of 60 people, based on the information presented by the UGAMA, evaluating the management system, confirming that this department does comply with the provisions of its technical reports and ordinances. A proposal was made based on the need of the parish, so that they enjoy a healthy environment that is what is shown in the Good Living plan, in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador.
