Abstract
Based on material captured in Mar del Plata (38° S) the families <i>Mobulidae</i> and <i>Kiphosidae</i> are reported. Both are new for the Argentine ichthyofauna. Morphometrics and illustrations are given. Facultad de Ciencias Naturales y Museo
