Propuesta metodológica para declarar al sitio Muyuyacu perteneciente a la parroquia rural Progreso del cantón Pasaje bosque protector.

Abstract

The Ecuadorian state establishes through the Ministry of the Environment Ecuador MAE a system of protection for areas or zones that have great environmental characteristics, among which is the protective forests that due to their specific characteristics provide a degree of protection to through the competent organisms and that within those characteristics that must fulfill to obtain this category are the following ones; have a high arboreal, shrub, vegetative or herbaceous value and also perform functions such as ensuring the preservation of the quantity and quality of the various biotic and abiotic factors. For this reason, the purpose of this research work was to establish the parameters and regulations used in Ecuador to designate a natural area Muyuyacu site as a protective forest. The methodology used for the collection of information was bibliographic research secondary sources since it was used to review scientific journals, website articles, academic books and research studies related to the object of study. It was also established that the type of research is qualitative by describing the parameters and regulations used. The results of this research showed that a natural area that has great biological importance, that is, that possesses important forest, shrub or herbaceous resources and that complies with several environmental services, can achieve the recognition of the category of protective forest.
