Resumen
The present research work deals with the sociocultural manifestations of intrafamily violence against women, which is expressed in physical, psychological and sexual aggression actions, whose origins are associated to the structure integrated by a patriarchal system where man prevails by the imposition of force based on the physiological and morphological differences that in turn interpret them as synonymous with power over the female sex, making the fragility invisible for the fulfillment of roles that beyond understanding the principle of coexistence assumes them with discriminatory attitudes and inequitable. In the same way is a cultural and historical problem, since from the origins of the organized and conscious society the woman has occupied secondary roles articulated to the perpetuation of the species and reproduction of knowledge through her children from one generation to other generations, in such a sense traditionally has been dedicated to the care of the house, the assistance of their offspring and lavish attention to the man whose role has been eminently protector of the home and provider of food. It is a problem that goes beyond the collective and institutional conceptions since the reproduction of this type of violence is closely linked to the patterns of formation and shaping of the personality of man who has perpetuated the criterion that he is predestined to carry out activities with demand for physical effort with the use of violence to produce and defend itself, that is why the object of study responds to the constant concern caused by the various manifestations of intrafamily violence that still continue to occur in Ecuadorian homes, although there are currently mechanisms or organizations to which you can go for help, but this is not enough to reduce the abuse and imposition of the male gender.
