Introduction: TB worldwide, occupies the ninth place of the main causes of mortality and the first by infectious diseases, surpassing HIV / AIDS in Ecuador, according to the National Ecuadorian Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) in 2014, by TBEP registers 168 hospital discharges and 2 deaths (6). The Ministry of Public Health (MSP), in 2016, reported TBEP morbidity of 818 cases, of which 29 corresponded to the Province of El Oro (7), and 85 died in that same year Case presentation: Patient of 18 years of age, working time at the Health Center, Lieutenant Hugo Ortiz, located in the city of Santa Rosa on 05/09/2018 due to cervicalgia and presence of swollen lymph nodes on both sides of the neck, On physical examination, the painful cervical pain is evident on deep palpation. With family medical history: father with diabetes mellitus, mother with arterial hypertension, aunt on the part of mother with HIV, sister with problems of drug addiction and alcoholism. From the 25 of April the TB treatment began, until the 12 of October five smear microscopy have been realized, all with negative result (-). TB was first described in Greek literature approximately 460 years BC. The affection to the lymph nodes, is also called "scrofula", curiously the relationship with the kingdom, the cataloging as "the curse of the king", in view of the creation of the infected person for curing that must be touched by the king of that time General objective: Review of the clinical history and bibliographic search to promote the quality of nursing care in this pathology. Method: the data were obtained from the patient's medical history and through an interview with him. In addition, a bibliographic search was made to base the results found on scientific evidence, such as PubMed, Scielo, Redalyc, Elsevier, etc.
