dc.description.abstract | The Ecuadorian coasts on its largest surface is located in a very high and high seismic risk zone in some sectors such as the city of Machala, which makes the integrity of both people, as the buildings are vulnerable to imminent threat, the telluric events of recent years in Ecuador have left us much to think about and analyze, as lives were lost and in turn irreparably damaged the structures built in the areas near the epicenter, which collapsed due to several factors, among the most important is the failure to comply with the Ecuadorian Construction Standards, this is why this project will verify the fulfillment of the project in a housing project. The purpose of the study is to carry out a structural analysis of a house with two floors, which will make known to us with the aid of a field inspection the most common type of failure that will be presented in this structural system, for which a standard housing built using a system of currently resistant porticoes has been chosen, responding to a structure with limited ductility, allowing us to generate rehabilitation strategies for damage caused by seismic forces that may occur, , the standard dwelling for this study is located in an urbanization located to the east of the city, which meets the characteristics of a dwelling of up to two floors and lights to five meters, built with materials present in the locality. | |
