dc.description.abstractThis document is focused on the evaluation of the T-beams of the superstructure of the ARMED CONCRETE BRIDGE ON THE ARENILLAS RIVER, LOCATED ON THE VILLA JUMÓN - LA CUCA, SECTOR EL CHECO, CANTÓN SANTA ROSA, PROVINCE OF EL ORO, where it was made the respective technical visit to carry out the measurements of the executed work and verify them with what was established in the construction plan, and also the level of deterioration in the structure was verified. With the verified data, the AASHTO LRFD Method is used for the design of bridges and with its requirements, articles and tables the development of the calculations is argued. For the evaluation of the inner and outer beams, the acting loads are taken into account and the geometry of the elements is verified and the moments per load state are obtained, such as the so-called DC dead load, the DW asphalt load and for the load Viva is considered the HL-93 design truck and the design tandem to obtain the LL + IM type moment. Then with these values the moment is calculated by Resistance I, and this will be the moment established as the demand for bending of the beams. We proceed with the calculation of the main steel of the beam, a moment is obtained by capacity and a Demand / Capacity relationship is determined that denotes an adequate structural reinforcement, which will be complemented with the steel by contraction and temperature and with the shear design.
