Resumen
The present work focuses on the design of an open channel of 700m length of trapezoidal section for maximum hydraulic efficiency, for this purpose it was made with walls and the base slab covered with concrete and its use was intended for irrigation and the area of Contribution to irrigation was given to 2000m on both sides and the irrigation module of 1l/sec/Ha. For the bottom slope, the profile of the natural terrain was taken as a reference in such a way that there is no exaggerated earth movement and, as far as possible, to take advantage of the cut for filling. All the hydraulic data (tie, area, perimeter, hydraulic radius, etc.) was obtained for each section and the energy curves and the backwater curves were drawn. Additionally, the type of flow, the type of overhang and the type of backwater curve were characterized. Finally, detailed plans will be presented with their respective data and cross sections for each abscissa, all this through the employment and skills acquired in the years of learning in university life.
