This document proposes the use and evaluation of didactic strategies in plastic arts, as tools in the development of the professional profile of teachers in basic education. Art, in analogy to the other humanistic disciplines are part of the fields of knowledge within basic education, provides freedom of thought, self-regulation and self-criticism that are irreplaceable elements in the construction of the artistic personality. In this sense the evaluation of strategies within the plastic, lead students to new levels of cognitive development, which means that scientific thinking is built on the basis of creativity. The continuous pedagogical innovations, pose new challenges in the design of didactic strategies of the arts, in addition to a pertinent evaluation as a construct of the learning within its formative elements, to improve the interdisciplinary interaction of the arts in a constant way. The methodology starts from the analytical, descriptive and qualitative treatment obtained in the study of articles indexed in relevance to the subject of study that allow the approach to the subject of study. The importance of teacher performance in the generation and implementation of didactic strategies in transformative plastic arts is relevant in this process, which through an evaluation of the aesthetic elements allows students a global-artistic development, with their own formal language from and for art, where its own form of expression is didactic transposition for basic education.
