Abstract

The concept of the value chain, since it was integrated by Professor Porter in 1985, has transcended in a positive way in the companies, since in spite of having been created in the first instance to the industry, Through time it has been determined that it is an indispensable tool for companies of any type of economic activity. The value chain is in the most important aspects in the decisions that must be made in the company, which is useful to examine all the processes that take place in a company, determine if these are effective or not and make improvements or feedback the processes if it is to be lent. It can allow companies to obtain a competitive advantage with the difference of companies in the same branch, to exceed the expectations of their customers and therefore achieve their objectives and obtain the highest profitability in a sustainable manner.
