dc.description.abstractIntroduction: migraine is the neurological disorder most prevalent and disabling condition that affects more frequently the female sex. Objectives: to Perform a narrative review not systematic therapeutic measures non-pharmacological more current as prophylaxis of migraine headaches. Materials and Methods: We performed a compilation of articles with scientific evidence of the database of SCIENCE DIRECT, PUBMED, that included articles, systematic reviews, clinical trials, for the implementation of this article, based on a descriptive study retrospective observational, making use of qualitative method during the last 5 years. Conclusions: nutraceuticals, botulinum toxin and acupuncture incorporate qualities that may have benefit in the prophylaxis of migraine, however, there are not enough studies to support their properties in the first two studies, however, acupuncture remains a method effective as a preventive therapeutic measure in migraine.
