The main objective of this practical work is to calculate and design the hydro-sanitary facilities for a three-storey residential building located in the city of Machala, El Oro province, in the streets: 3rd avenue and 1st transversal, for this is based on the guidance of the Ecuadorian Construction Standards NEC-11, chapter 16. This building was designed with 2 alternatives for internal drinking water supply system, and the most advisable was chosen in the economic and technical point of view, between the two designs we have a potable water system with supply of an elevated tank and another system with a hydro-pneumatic tank, the sewage network was also designed. Next, we proceeded to draw in AUTOCAD, the architectural plans as well as the plans of the hydro-sanitary facilities, in order to obtain the distances, heights, number of devices and accessories, which have to be used for the calculation of the hydro-sanitary system through the EXCEL program. The simultaneity factor method is used in the calculation of drinking water supply networks and the discharge units method for calculating the wastewater system to obtain the diameter and speeds described according to NEC-11.
