dc.description.abstractThe main objective of this research work is to analyze the theories of international trade over time, specifically the absolute advantage and comparative advantage, in relation between two countries Ecuador and Colombia, and between two products the banana and the flowers, for being the two products of main export worldwide. It is a synthetic review of the theories proposed by Adam Smith and David Ricardo, so a descriptive analysis of both theories is carried out in order to develop the case. The research begins with the history of the economy and how theories emerged throughout history, identifying the main theories and their foundations, so it is completed by carrying out the relevant operations of the case to analyze who has absolute advantage among the countries Ecuador and Colombia, and be able to make the respective conclusions.
