Resumen
As Ecuadorians our main duty is to strengthen our cultural identity in every aspect of our daily lives; all the more so as artists and musicians, we have the necessary tools to further enrich this purpose. Thus, this musical creation project has been developed with the name of Cronología. This work is a concert suite, which interprets the historical events of our country along its different periods, starting from the Indian Era (Reino de Quito) to the Republican Era. Recreating these eras musically based on ancient Ecuadorian rhythms. Included in the structure of this music, are the folkloric musical instruments fused with typical symphonic instruments in an attempt to create a fusion of timbre in both color and texture.
The first chapter includes features of the indigenous history and their place of origin, their musical instruments, their first forms and musical manifestations.
The second chapter includes features of the history from the arrival of the Spaniards in the conquest to the formation of the new republic. The musical forms that were brought by the Spaniards and their influence on the Ecuadorian indigenous music and rhythms a product of the mixing of cultures.
In the third chapter presents the description of the work, projecting a morphological analysis of the five movements that are contained in the suite, for one´s greater understanding.
