dc.description.abstractThis research explores carefully different manifestations that adopt the unconventional urban art, graffiti in their shapes, types, styles, supports and relations with urban planning and community. The information collected, provided by art critics, cultural managers, graffiti practitioners show the current status of graffiti in Cuenca, Ecuador. The research had as target group the graffiti artist of Cuenca, who practice this art and are organized under the sponsorship of the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Cuenca and also those free acting or in group but without institutional supervision in the period 2012-2013.
