BACKGROUND: The basic health team; doctors, nurses and nursing assistants who work in the Sigsig hospital, while performing their daily tasks are exposed to a number of factors that can influence their health, taking into account that virtually all types of risks are present in the and in combination with few preventive measures the probability of suffering some pathology is very high, so a Spanish study reports that 38.3% of physicians associate their wear and tear with daily consultations (12).
OBJECTIVE: To describe the work and health - illness profile of the Hospital 's basic equipment, Sigsig - 2016.
METHODOLOGY: Descriptive cross-correlational type, a universe of fifty-one people, so no sample calculation.
The techniques used were: survey form. The processing was done using the SPSS program and for the analysis, descriptive statistics were used by tables, graphs, frequency and percentage. For the realization of the tables will be used Microsoft Word 2016, Microsoft Office 2016, SPSS, and for the graphs will be used pie chart and bars.
USE OF RESULTS: To establish which are the dangerous and protective processes that each member of the basic team develops in relation to their health, and to be able to make suggestions of the policies to be taken to ensure the health of the workers, benefiting the community by having a attention to quality and warmth.
RESULTS: The activities of the basic health team, is characterized by rotating shifts; (82%), most of them are exposed to physical risks such as sharps, chemicals such as: cleaning substances and biological substances such as: secretions of patients 97.4%, in addition to 84, 6% have adequate equipment to reduce the risks to which they are exposed, and 76.9% are continuously training.
CONCLUSIONS: The basic health team is exposed to all occupational hazards: chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic and psychosocial, predominantly biological and ergonomic risks. In the health profile of the basic equipment, cervical pain, back pain and emotional stress were the most present.
