Introduction: The social determinant of the health according to the world organization of the health (OMS) they are the circumstances in that people are born, they grow, they live, they work and they age, included the system of health. The adolescence is a decisive stage for the acquisition and invigoration of the lifestyles, because it is one period where some behaviors of the childhood are authenticated and they are added new as a result of the family, labor and social environment that surrounds them, protecting them or increasing its vulnerability.
General objective: To identify the social determinants and violent behaviors in students of secondary level of the educational unit "Luis Roberto Bravo". Cuenca. 2016.
Methodology and materials: The research is quantitative, the study is a descriptive cross-sectional study. The universe is made up of 400 students at the Secondary Level of the Educational Unit "Luis Roberto Bravo" from the school year 2016-2017. The calculation of the sample corresponds to 132 students. For the collection of the information, we used the survey on the Social Determinants and Violent Behavior in Adolescents. For tabulation of data was used the SPSS Statistics 22.0 and Excel; the results are represented in tables with frequencies and percentages.
Results: As for the social determinant we have that the instruction of the parents 39.4% has not finished the primary one, 60.6% its studies they culminated. The socioeconomic level is 11.4% I lower, 84,1 half% and 4,5 high% for what the biggest percentage is of middle class and it lowers. According to the Family Disfuncionalidad, 59,1 functional%, 34,1 moderate and so alone% 6,8 severe%. According to the violent and aggressive behaviors, 58,3% is moderate, and 5,3 severe% for what one can say that more than half of students they have a violent and aggressive behavior toward its other partners or people.
Conclusions: The most important factors associated to social determinants and violent behavior in adolescents in the Educational Unit "Luis Roberto Bravo" were: socioeconomic status, education of parents who live with the students, family dysfunction and violent and aggressive behaviors
