Employability is a basic condition related to a person's ability to get and keep a job. It encompasses different components such as competences, attitudes, aptitudes, interests, motivations etc., which allow an individual to be the ideal human asset for a company. The research project allowed to analyze the state of employability of the graduates of the Hospitality Career of the Faculty of Hospitality Sciences of University of Cuenca, within the labor area according to their direct perspective. The methodology applied was based on a non-experimental study with a correlational comparative approach to know the behavior and the reciprocal relationship between the study variables obtained through the different perspectives of analysis such as economics, philosophy, anthropology, politics, legislation, tourism (accommodation), international relations, sociology and migration.
The information was obtained through surveys, in which the graduates participated according to their employment status. The research concluded that the employability status of graduates is at 67.5% of whom 48.1% work within the hotel sector in operational positions within the reception area. Additionally, the level of satisfaction of the graduates regarding the educational quality and the study programs taught to the hotel career was demonstrated, reflecting that in both aspects it is very low, since the correlations are between 0.347 and 0.490, becoming a care topic directly related to the hospitality college.
