Resumen
The present work has sought to identify if there is a relationship between social skills and academic performance in students of the faculty of psychology. The research handles a quantitative, non-experimental and transactional approach; whose scope is located in the correlational. The study was carried out in students of the faculty of psychology enrolled in the period March-August 2017. For this purpose, the Social Skills Scale of intercycle Elena Gismero and the general average of the students of the first inter- Statistical Package for the Social Sciences "SPSS" and Microsoft Excel 2010. The results reveal that there is no significant relationship between the variables studied, however when considering other variables such as sex or the school of psychology, whether clinical, educational or social, were found interesting results.
