The Internet of Things IoT allows the interconnection of objects equipped with the necessary technology to connect to the Internet. In this context, the possibility of contributing to Agroecology and Environment was arise through the development of a device VBM384, which consists of a practical Internet of things application for the automatic monitoring of soil parameters, at affordable costs. It was developed an electronic device with the capacity to store the measured information using low cost sensors, and the results obtained were compared with the results of several gravimetric analyzes performed in the laboratory. Finally, once the device was validated, a comparison of the results of the developed device and the results of a commercial equipment was made. The result of this research show that it is possible to develop local technology with lower costs in comparison with commercial devices, and that devices will delivery reliable information. In addition, it was possible to demonstrate that the transmission of agricultural data to the Internet and the access to that data from anywhere in the world is possible, at an affordable cost.
