Resumen
Although the cooperative groups strategy has a lot of potential to achieve meaningful learning, its pedagogical use is not frequent in teachers. Among the reasons, for not using cooperative groups there is the ignorance of their pedagogical values and factors related to groups structures. A specific aspect in which the cooperative group can influence is the generation of cognitive conflicts in students. This generation allows the student to develop advances between previous knowledge and the new one, which could represent an improvement of the teaching-learning process.
The methodology used to reached the objectives was fundamentally the bibliographical research, through the review, analysis and systematization of information from scientific and academic files. The conclusions reached show us that the cooperative work is a strategy that generates constant cognitive conflicts. However, this process requires that the structure of groups keep logic and coherence ruled to cooperative learning. Finally, a series of techniques are presented with the purpose of providing the teacher a guide to apply the strategy of cooperative work.
