A structure must be designed and constructed to be able to withstand all actions that may request it during the useful life, maintaining safety, functionality and acceptable appearance. However, we do know that buildings need recovery interventions due to multiple deteriorating agents.
To carry out a rehabilitation, reinforcement and / or protection action, the recovery processes must be understood, as well as the origins of the degradations, so that they have a mastery of the research resources. This document contains theoretical information and illustrations of the various systems for the rescue of the elements concrete column and beam, which have been affected by injuries whose causes of mechanical origin (deformations, cracks, detachments), helping to design the most appropriate intervention practices.
In the absence of an agreement that allows the standardization of the revitalization of concrete structures, it is planned to compile existing dispersed knowledge on the repair, strengthening and / or protection of concrete and column elements. The result is many available techniques that can be used by professionals, offering solutions to the problems of maintenance of concrete structures, through a technical and practical manual that also has an extension of the same in an Interactive display model.
