Background: The prevalence of urinary incontinence in women, ranging from 25 to 51 percent prevalence increases with age, in Ecuador there are no specific data on prevalence and incidence

Objective: To determine the use of Peritest as biofeedback mechanism for Kegel exercises with outpatient gynecology clinic in Paucarbamba in 2013.
Design Methodology: Quantitative Type, conducted in Paucarbamba Clinic in private practice of gynecology, of the city of Cuenca, with a universe of 50 patients
Results: The mean age of the population stood at 44.04 years with a SD of 11.58 years; 82% of the population performed Kegel exercises. Most studied population presented initial force between 0-20, with a mean of 1.12 with a SD of 8.36; in the final assessment of this population of women with the help of Peritest mean pelvic floor strength stood at 17.18 with a SD of 9.65; while 66% of the population had measurements between 0-20.
Conclusions: The use of Peritest as biofeedback mechanism serves as a measuring instrument in kegel exercises since the increased strength of the pelvic floor was statistically significant in women who used it.
