Background: Female sexual dysfunction is a problem in the human sexual response (desire, excitement and orgasm) that generally prevents the development of a complete erotic life, affects the general health and self-esteem of women.
General objective: to identify the factors of female sexual dysfunction in nursing students of the "University of Cuenca", 2018.
Material and methods: a descriptive, observational and transversal cohort study will be carried out, with a finite universe, formed by 96 sexually active women, of marital status married or in free union between 18 and 35 years old, students of the Nursing career. Of the "University of Cuenca" during the period February-July 2018. S will apply a survey the instrument that will be used in this research work is the INDEX FORM OF THE FEMALE SEXUAL FUNCTION of Rosen and Cols, which has been endorsed, used in previous research works, and modified according to the needs of the researchers in this study. (APPENDIX 1)
Use of results: these results will allow professionals and future research to obtain real data on the prevalence of female sexual dysfunction in nursing students, allowing actions to increase their quality of life.
Once the data is collected, it will be coded, for which it will be classified by variables, which will be entered into a database in the statistical software Microsoft Excel and SPSS 15, for statistical analysis, representing them in frequency and percentage tables
