Resumen
The increasing necessity for counting with clean and sustainable energy, impulses initiatives that promotes the use of Non- Conventional Renewable Energy (NCRE). The present thesis seeks to analyze the generation of electricity through solar photovoltaic and wind energy on a small-scale, considering the technologies installed on the University of Cuenca’s laboratories; that corresponds to fixed monocrystalline panels, fixed polycrystalline, mobile polycrystalline in one axis and mobile polycrystalline in two axis; whilst, for wind energy, two wind turbines are available, one of vertical axis and the other one horizontal axis, which are installed at a height of 18 meters. Based on these two systems, the potentials of the primary solar and wind resources existing in the areas that are located are analyzed. Complementarily, the technical and economic evaluation of the two systems is carried out to determine the feasibility of executing studies of photovoltaic and wind solar microgeneration projects, considering the regulations of the current electric power public service. Finally, the fare application that promotes and stimulates the development of solar photovoltaic and wind microgeneration, integrated into the electricity distribution network, is analyzed.
