Lattice towersforself-supportingtelecommunications antennasarewidely used throughout the country.Thefailure rateof this type ofstructureunderwind loadsis higher than forother types of structuresandit is essential todeepenourunderstanding of the behaviorof such structures. In this paperthe differences will be show between the structural behaviorof a lattice tower built withstructural shapesandcornerattachments“UV”and another tower built with corner section made of circular structural tubes, undersimilar loadconditions, the selection of which influences theoverall weightof the towers analyzedin this report.
