In the labor area, the activities carried out due to the type of work generate an expense of calories which vary according to the intensity of work, after that, by feeding the body recovers the spent calories. When there is an imbalance between spent calories and calories consumed, the body manifests it by weight loss or gain, for which, the Body Mass Index (BMI) is an indicator that diagnoses underweight, norm weight, overweight, or obesity in the person. In organizations, people are expected to enjoy occupational safety and health by avoiding occupational diseases or accidents. This study objective is to analyze the relationship between BMI and working metabolism, considering the calories ingested during the day. The investigation was carried out with employees and camp workers. It is expected to confirm the presumption that the programmed diet is inadequate according to the working metabolism. Through the implementation of surveys classified into three groups, administrative, operational and supervisory; data were obtained and analysed in the SPSS statistical program. The hypothesis that was defined is that the calories provided by the dining room are superior? With respect to the calories that workers spend during their working hours, regardless of the charge. Once the analyses had been carried out, significant differences between the calories provided and those spent were shown to exist. According to the BMI, the majority of workers have overweight
