Resumen
The purpose of the follow study is to analyze the impact of the corruption in economic growth adjusted for the economic freedom´s effect, for a sample of 14 countries of Latin America, during the period between 1996-2015. A dynamic estimate was made for panels using System GMM methodology. The Principals findings show that corruption is a specific obstacle to the economic growth, because of the unproductive use of resources and environment of uncertainty that it produces in the region, the economic freedom case reflects a positive behavior in the growth, emphasizing the important fact that say that free elections realized by individuals, also the free market contribute to the economic progress , which allows consider the importance of the effectiveness of the economic freedom and the inefficiency of certains interventions of the state. The interaction between the corruption and economic freedom has a negative impact within the growth, which allows to determinate a threshold to take decisions about anticorruption politics.
