Resumen
Tourism is a developing industry which main source of growing is based on offering products and services through local, national or international marketing, which requires organization, development and management in tourist destinations. In 2011, six centers of Communitarian tourism were created in order to enhance this type of tourism, the community "Sumak Pacha" pueblo Cañari, is founded to improve the economy of the indigenous communities of this region. Among this centers, we can find the coal yard located in the community of Shayak Rumi, belonging to el Cañar Canton, the same that lacks of a system of signage that could provide information, guidance and restriction on actions contributing to negative impacts, especially in fragile areas such as the Carbonari primary forest.
This ecological training as well as the cultural manifestations also lack of the proper guidance and laws of protection, to prevent future damage that can be no intentionally done because of ignorance or miss education. To raise the awareness of the agents that interact directly with visitors, community members and excursionists in general; this fact motivates the implementation of a signage system conducive to preserve this resource so important and unique and above all to contribute to the effective development of the local community.
In this perspective a new initiative arises, a process of strengthening of the Community tourism center the Carbonari, as well as to study the management of the implementation of signage at sites and routes (resources), with nuances and dimensions that do not alter the habitat of the species, or that could cause damage to the environment. In this way, tourists arriving at the Center will guide you through graphics and informational signs aimed to the development and strengthening of the tourist activities.
