The aim of this research was to evaluate the prevalence of bruxism and its associated factors. Materials and Methods: 284 patients were evaluated using a self-report questionnaire and clinical examination, after that a validated scale that measures stress, anxiety, and depression (DASS-21) was used. Results: The data revealed a prevalence of 52.1 % of Bruxism and association with stress variable ( OR: 3.148 , 95% CI 1.9 - 5.1 ), anxiety variable (OR : 3.222 , 95% CI 1.9 - 5.4 ) and depression variable (OR : 3.284 (95% CI 2.0 - 5.3 ) with this parafunction, in other hand there is not a significant association between bruxism with age (OR : 1.400 ; 95% CI O.8 - 2.2 ) neither sex (OR : 1.260 IC 95 % ( 0.7 - 2.0 )
