Resumen
The aim of this study was to compare the microleakage of total-etch adhesive Adper Single Bond (3M ESPE) and self-etch adhesives Gc G- Bond (Gc Corp) by dye penetration.
Thirty premolar and third molar teeth were selected for this in vitro study and class V cavities were prepared on the lingual and buccal surface. Adhesive Adper Single Bond (3M ESPE) in buccal cavity and Gc G- Bond (Gc Corp) in lingual cavity was applied of these cavities, then all of them were restored with a light cure resin composite, Valux Plus A3 (3M ESPE). Then samples were exposing on the method of microleakage measurement dye penetration under microscope, methylene blue 2% for 24 hours was employed. To analyze the degree of microleakage was used a qualitative method whose scale is 0-3.
Data were analyzed by unpaired t-test. There was significant difference in the dye penetration (P = 0.033) between the microleakage of total-etch and self-etch adhesives.
KEYWORDS: MICROLEAKAGE, FIFTH GENERATION ADHESIVE, SEVENTH GENERATION ADHESIVE, RESIN COMPOSITE.
